Membership

How can I become a member?

You are not required to be a member of our church to worship with us. However, if you do desire to officially become a member of our congregation, we will enroll you as a "Baptized Member," which is our baseline membership status, by doing one of the following:

  • If you have been baptized with water in the name of the Trinity (regardless of the denomination in which it happened), please contact the church office and provide us with your baptismal information.

  • If you are already a member of another Episcopal Church and would like to transfer your membership to St. Paul's, again, please contact our office.

  • If you're not baptized, please talk to our Rector about receiving the Sacrament of Baptism.

Some Baptised Members also choose to make a mature profession of faith (Confirmation) when the bishop comes for his annual visitation, which gives them the status of "Confirmed Communicant."  Those who are coming from a different Christian tradition, and have already made a mature profession of faith there, are invited to be "Received" into our tradition when the bishop comes.

As always, if you have questions about any of these areas, please don't hesitate to contact us for further information.

What do you expect from members?
